Each DVD contains two separate classes. The Practice Class utilizes our special progressive teaching format, which has three distinct components: 1. learn the exercise; 2. practice the exercise with the teacher; 3. practice as part of a group class. In the Practice Class, each chapter includes lots of helpful description and breaks the movement down into absorbable packages of material. It’s a field-tested method for learning movement, and integrates a number of cuing strategies (imagery, visual mirroring, musical input) to help you understand and learn the exercise from the inside out. Once you’ve learned each exercise and reach a certain level of mastery, you can utilize the Through Class tracks to do a full class all the way through, without stopping. Without additional narration or description, the Through Class format is perfect for a self-directed, comprehensive 40-minute dance experience to get you off on the right foot.
